"Among Iwan Warnet's recent works a new series of paintings is growing, called Fragments of wandering lines. Transpositions of drawings into the field of painting and inspired by decorative arts, they mix human bodies and plants, emerging in a barely perceptible way from backgrounds. These paintings, blurring the line between figuration and abstraction, explore, through the ambiguities of representation, the belholders share in the perception of a picture.

The Taste of Pearly Lips is a series of drawings and paintings produced during Iwan Warnet's residency, pursuing his treatment of the canvas as a garden of sorts. His drawings also explore the fluidity of desiring bodies."
